Membership to The Royal Society of South Africa includes:

of South Africa’s premier multidisciplinary organisation and also the oldest in this country.

to the Transactions of the Royal Society of SA, an internationally rated scientific journal, thrice yearly. Online database includes Transactions from as far back as 1877.

of our informative, personalised and popular RSSAf News, which keep the membership informed of scientific developments on a broad front in southern Africa, including job opportunities.

to regular scientific talks by leading South African and international scientists at major cities in the country.
Invitations
to scientific expeditions, colloquia, workshops and congresses organised by the Society and other scientific organisations.
Fees
Membership fee is R580.00pa. Student membership fee is R150pa – applicants may be asked for proof of registration.
